Digital Telecom International Pvt. Ltd. (DTI) successfully tested the first Paging beeper message towards attempt to launch the countrywide paging.
DTI Paging, the emerging telecom organization launched with 100% Nepali investment and having the countrywide license to operate Pagers yesterday test launched its first pagers. The Technical Director of the organization Mr. Nawal Sawarthia informed at around midnight last night. He mentioned that the consultants and engineers who had been working day and night towards completion of the project before the end of the year are all contended at the best possible results.
Mr. Shashank Kansal, Director - Development said that this is a landmark towards a new and modern Nepal in the Information and Communications age. He added that in wake of the eve of the 21st century this is something that shall bring the domestic community exposed to the better and affordable modes of communications. The paging technology brings the most affordable communications to any country. He expressed his gratitude towards the liberal policies of HMG and the NTA that has put all efforts bringing in deregulated environment and helping the private sector participate in the growth of the Nation.
The company spokesman mentioned that the best efforts are being put in place to launch the commercial pagers on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev's 55th Birthday.
